Bulvaria Varna - a huge step ahead for successful company development with AutoMaster
Bulvaria Varna (formerly known as Cargoexpress Ltd.) was established in 1989 in Varna. The company has been an official Opel dealer since 1994 and a Chevrolet dealer since 2004. In 2007 Bulvaria Varna became a part of Eurohold Bulgaria. Today, the company has a modern auto center and deals with cars, spare parts and accessories, predelivery vehicle inspection and general and warranty service.
Since its establishment, Cargoexpress has expanded significantly and this has caused a lot of difficulties to its management. The managers researched for new modern business management tools which would respond to their business needs. The unstable economic situation made the need of a full view over the company and a possibility for making adequate management decisions in critical situations even bigger.
In 2009 Bulvaria Varna started an implementation of the world-renowned DMS and IMS solution AutoMaster which is an endorsed and recommended product for manufacturers, including one of the biggest on the market - General Motors which included it in its market development strategy for Bulgaria. In Bulvaria Varna were implemented the modules Sales Desktop, Workshop, Spare Parts which embed all activities and business processes in these departments. The popular ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics NAV was also implemented as its accounting module is fully integrated with AutoMaster.
A few months after the project launch, Bulvaria Varna has already a real working system and optimized business processes. Some of the main improvements:
-
A single database
Through AutoMaster the company achieved full data integration. The common database enables supporting history for previous activities, transactions and a detailed profile of each vendor, partner, contact or customer.
-
Optimized business processes
Better communication among the departments with the Work Order Monitoring. The mechanics and the employees responsible for the spare parts delivery have current information about the order status, spare parts needed and orders which are ready to be released.
The work process in the Workshop department has been optimized through integration with Technical Information System /TIS/ for automated operations introduction, Electronic Product Catalogue /EPC/ integration for automated parts introduction, Campaign Information System for technical companies. Through the Work Order Monitoring application was achieved a full control over the workshop and mechanics' activities and an optimization of the resource usage. Through the introduced automation and integration, Workshop employees work easier and faster.
-
Full automation of spare parts operations
The features, referred to an automated spare parts reservation for service orders, help gaining better control over the parts movement and supply for workshop repairs. The employees from the Spare Parts department can now control the stocks with the automated planning based on sales in previous periods as well as an automated generation of purchase orders of parts, ordered for the service operations. The system enables fast parts purchases through an automated order transfer to GM and automated import of the vendor's confirmation. After the stock is delivered, the system automatically distributes the parts for the service orders. Due to all the implemented automation, the employees now work more efficiently.
-
A full control over the company
The AutoMaster implementation gave Bulvaria Varna a clear definition and control over the company's business processes. The managers have real-time information about the activities in all departments; planned, started and overdue tasks; access to current data and possibility to make informed decisions.
-
Detailed reports and analysis
The management has various reports at their disposal anytime on which basis it can make various analysis.
„We put many efforts in this project because we really wanted to deliver a solution that will fully meet their business needs and expectations. We believe that Cargoexpress made an important decision regarding the future successful development of the company", said Kalin Tzvetanov, Managing Director, Intelligent Systems Bulgaria.
